MBFW Day 1 || CAMILLA

Camilla Franks brings nomad gypsy to life in her SS12/13 collection. Collecting inspiration from seven different countries, including Africa, Brazil, India and Australia, her use of vibrant colours and fabrics stood on a platform like no other. With over the top accessories and makeup that represented each different country Camilla definitely has captures the summery feel in this colourful collection!

MBFW Day 1 || KIRRILY JOHNSTON

Her signature, earthy accents along with the key colours of fuchsia and golden chartreuse are what Kirrily Johnston's gypsy chic collection is all about for SS12/13. Kirrily has drawn her focus to several key looks and trends which include oversized floral prints, skin tight brights and exposed zips which shows how she is exploring different aspects, keeping her collection fresh and on trend! Here are some of the photos from todays show, some of which include backstage exclusives and ones from the runway!

MBFW Day 1 || GARY BIGENI

Cobalt, aqua, teal and sky blue gave a distinct summery feel to Gary Bigeni's SS12/13 collection that was equal parts breezy as it was polished. You could definitely say that Gary is a man of the less is more mantra as he showcased lots of easy separates highlighted by the perfect man-style pant, along with unexpected pops of retro geometric prints, zig-zag knits and leather zip pencil case accessories. I think Gary definitely got this one right, such an amazing, vibrant collection, perfect for Spring/Summer.

MBFW Day 1 || ROMANCE WAS BORN

Kicking off MBFW this morning with a fresh, graphic look and style was 'Romance Was Born'. Being inspired by Marvel comics the designer duo collaborated with the publishing talent to create Pop Art style graphics within the set and their range, which included myriad silhouettes and pieces such as bustiers, bodysuits and voluminous outer wear. Here are some exclusive images from the show this morning, including some of my favourite picks from the show. Personally I think it was such a vibrant and incapsulating show to start the week off and even though its not really my style of fashion I think its freaking amazingly cool! However, I definitely appreciate it and think very highly of the creativity and hard work that has gone into the collection. Hope you enjoy this one! XX BMH

MBFW

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow and I'm excited to see what some of Australia's best designers have to showcase this year. I have been working closely with one of the designers which will be showcasing this week and I'm excited to see all the hard work and long hours come together in what I'm sure will be an amazing show. Some of the shows I'm particularly looking forward to seeing are Kirrily Johnston, Ellery, Aje, Christopher Esber and of course my fav Sara Phillips...just to name a few! So today I've complied a few photos from last years fashion week shows to get you as excited as I am for this week and even though I won't be attending thanks to my damn assessment tasks I will be blogging throughout the week so stay tuned for whats to come! Giorgia

 I was fortunate enough to catch up with a friend that I have not seen in quite some time, over the weekend and I was so happy to hear how much she adores Bare My Heart. I was so surprised, she could even quote the titles of some of my posts!! She has given me some amazing suggestions to consider for future posts but today I thought I'd stick to what she loves, so today I have collection some photos I love and included a few on some things we chatted about.
