Milan Men's Fashion Week || Street Style

Colours, prints, pastels and tailoring are all the main re-occurring trends I am seeing from the street style at Milan Men's Fashion Week. Although this week celebrates the menswear collections, there is much attention towards the women's street style as they dictate the current and upcoming trends. Brights colours and pastels have been reoccurring in a few of these amazing style images but also print and beautiful tailoring, whether it be in shorts, blazers or pants. I hope you enjoy some of the images I have picked out for you!

Roberto Cavalli Resort 2013

Fresh masculine tailoring, ornate placement prints and intricate beading details, pretty much sums up the very current Resort 2013 collection by Roberto Cavalli. His prints were created from a mixture of inspirations such as tropical rain forests to regal blue and white ornate designs. Cavalli's full-on extravaganza is bright, detailed and original, and his eye for style is very clear and precise.

Cherry Peaks for Future Retro || Original Designs

Firstly I want to say, I'm back and I've missed you! Back with lots of things to show and tell you. I want to start off by showing you what has kept me away from "baremyheart" for the last few weeks and what I've been working on and who I've been working with.
The major thing I have dedicated my time on in the last few weeks is my second year, semester one original designs which was a two body collection of four to six garments with a compulsory design of a dress and soft jacket. The brief was named "Future Retro" and was basically to choose a decade between the 50's to the 90's and follow your chosen decades signature silhouette in your designs, it also stated that there must be two or more prints incorporated and the use of colour blocking or be sports wear inspired. For my my six designs i chose the 50's which follows the silhouette of a cinched in waist, so very feminine and defining. My two bodies consisted of a dress, shirt, tights, top, skirt and jacket which follow similar fabric combinations. My key colours were berry and jade and used the zigzag print as a signature element throughout my designs. My inspiration behind this two body collection was the european culture particularly in Italy and Paris and the fashion and style in these cities. I was also inspired by architecture such as the Eiffel Tower and the Cinque Terre which is were my idea for colour palettes came in and lastly Margherita Missoni and Miroslava Duma were a huge inspiration as they present such chic and immaculate style, which is what i aimed to embody.  Hope you enjoy and if you have any question feel free to post.
