Ulyana Sergeenko

Now I bet you all thought I was going to do a 'halloween' post today....close but not quite! There is certainly black fashion involved, but I've decided to focus on something way more stylish or should I say someone.
Ulyana Sergeenko is my latest, favourite fashion and style icon, she is so incredibly talented and not to mention fashionable, I just love her! For those of you who are unfamiliar with her let me introduce to you the most high profile figure of the Russian fashion pack. Ulyana is a triple threat when it comes to the fashion world, not only is she a successful model and photographer she has recently added Couture fashion designer to her list of achievements. Besides all these wonderful achievements, the thing that gets Ulyana noticed is her amazing and ever so chic flair for fashion, captured by no other than style.com's best Tommy Ton. Her embrace of luxury and multiple designer outfits are hard to resist but her 50's inspired style is what amazes me as she so cleverly styles an outfit that suit her to a T, and not to mention how well she pulls them off! So today I've carefully picked out my favourite images of this lovely lady for a slightly different take on style and fashion inspiration for the day. Enjoy!

Scarf Retrospective

Yesterday I came across the most amazing images, where in each one the model was coincidentally wearing a head scarf, so I thought why not embrace this great trend especially as the weather gets warmer, remember summers coming and we need to "cover up" so why not do it in style?
I have collected a whole bunch of images from Audrey Hepburn in the 60's all the way through to Miranda Kerr today which show different ways of wearing scarves, its also nice to look at different ways they can be worn!

Just a quick Sunday morning post to kick off your day in style!
So I've collected all the best and last few street style snaps from the Spring 2013 shows, I hope they inspire you to be fashionable like the leading ladies of the "Russian Revolution" or maffia as some of us like to call them...Happy Sunday!

The Last

Well it's sad to say that the Spring 2013 fashion week shows are officially done and dusted. Starting off in New York, through to London then Milan and finishing up yesterday in Paris. I thought I'd share some of my favourite moment photos from the last few shows that previewed in Paris, from the amazing escalators and set at Louis Vuitton to the beautifully crafted transparent and oversized accessories at Chanel. The designers really stepped it up this year going all out, whether it be with the set design of their show or the garments, the styling even the accessories, but I have to say I do have my favourites as everyone does. Overall I do have a favourite look from lots of the shows, that list however is never ending, but I will tell you some of my favourite shows from the overall 2013 shows. Richard Nicoll was definitely a stand out show for me, not to mention two of my absolute favourite designers Mary Katrantzou and Peter Pilotto. I loved the colours, prints and minimalism at Gucci, Anthony Vaccarello was also one I remembered, Balmain but that one is obviously a given, the same as the oh so chic Givenchy, Hermes, Stella McCartney and the Louis Vuitton and Chanel shows were something you cant even try to forget! I also did love some of the Aussie talent that made us proud such as Dion Lee, Sass and Bide and the Ellery and Christopher Esber combined show in New York.
So much to talk about when it comes to fashion, but I'll let the photos finish the talking and keep an eye out for some other posts from the last days at fashion week Spring 2013.
